🏉 Southbridge Rugby Club – Player Recruitment 2026

We are currently looking for players to join Division 1, Division 2, and a potential Division 3 for the 2026 season.

Southbridge Rugby Club welcomes interest from anyone wishing to play rugby in Canterbury. Whether you’re new to the area or looking for a new club, why not join a team with a proud history, a strong community, and the honour of being the home club of former All Black Dan Carter.

About Our Club

• Division 1 – The most successful side in Ellesmere history, holding the Coleman Shield more times than any other club, and winners again in 2025. Countrywide Champions in 2012, 2013 & 2017.

• Division 2 – A strong and competitive side with a great core group of players. Winners in 2016 and regular top 4 finishers in recent years.

• Division 3 – Hopefully, we will have a side for 2026
