What Grade do I play in 2026? 

Colts (Under 21): Born in 2005, 2006 or 2007 - Senior Registration Required

Ellesmere U18 (All year 12 & 13s)

Ellesmere Intermediate Boys - Year 10s born April 2011 - Sept 2011 and all Year 11s 

Ellesmere Junior Boys - All Year 9s, & Year 10s Born October 2011 - March 2012

Non-competition grades are based on a child's school year and may differ slightly to the guide below. Generally:

• Year 8 and born between 1 April 2013 and 31 March 2014

• Year 7 and born betweeen 1 April 2014 and 31 March 2015

• Year 6 and born between 1 April 2015 and 31 March 2016

• Year 5 and born between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2017

• Year 4 and born between 1 April 2017 and 31 March 2018

• Year 3 and born between 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019

• Year 2 and born between 1 April 2019 and 31 March 2020

• Year 0-1 and born between 1 April 2020 and 31 August 2021 (starting school during the season)

If your child does not fall into the birthdate range for their school year, please register your child in the year group ahead and talk to us about dispensation. Dispensations will only be considered upon enquiry and will be granted at the discretion of the Club and Ellesmere Rugby Sub Union.
